Do Not Love The World

"Do not love the world or anything in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father
is not in him.
For everything in the world- the cravings of sinful
man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what
he has and does- comes not from the Father but
from the world.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who
does the will of God lives forever."

1John 2: 15-17

We can live in this world but not of this world. We are pilgrims here in a strange land of sin and wickedness and our true home is with our Father in heaven which our Lord Jesus Christ has prepared for us in advance.

I ever so agree with it Kuya Mel! Our home is in heaven. We are all but strangers and passers by in this world.

Thank you for an inspirational post!

Hi Dhemz,
The words of God are just so simple yet so sublime. With the influence of the Holy Spirit, so many shades of meaning can be discerned from these verses. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Very true. My Mama always tell me about that. Thanks for reminding me again Sir Mel. All things in Earth we can't bring with God. We should love God above all else in this world coz He's the only one whom we will face when we die.

Hi MelCole,
Very aptly said. Amen to that. What matters most in our lives is our relationship with God. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
