Wisdom From The Spirit

"The Spirit searches all things, even the things of God.
For who among men knows the thoughts of a man
except the man's spirit within him?
In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God
                                         except the Spirit of God.
We have not received the spirit of the world but the
Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what
                                         God has freely given us.

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by
human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit,
expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
The man without the Spirit  does not accept the
things that come from the Spirit of God, for they
are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand
them, because they are spiritually discerned."

                                                          1 Corinthians 2: 10b- 14

Those who do not have the Spirit of God in them cannot understand the words of God for they are spiritually discerned.  They are all foolishness to him.  Not so with those who have the Spirit of God dwelling in them.  They will understand the word of God for the Spirit who has inspired them is the same Spirit that dwells in the temples of their hearts.  This wisdom comes from the Spirit of God and was given to us to guide us in our spiritual walk in life.  They are the words that come from the mouth of God and were given to us to sustain us spiritually.

Lord, Who May Dwell In Your Sanctuary?

"Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill?

He whose walk is blameless
and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellow man,
who despises a vile man
but honor those who fear the Lord
who keeps his oaths even when it hurts,
who lends his money without usury
and does not accept bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things
will never be shaken."

Psalm 15: 1-5

We are ambassadors of Christ in this world. We are supposed to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We must never do what the world does and compromise our Christian legacy. In everything that we do, Christ' glory should be reflected in our lives so that we may attract souls towards the things we believe in and so bring them on the road to salvation. In this regard, the Holy Spirit shall help us in the transformation of our lives and in the renewing of our minds so that all thoughts
may become captive to the thoughts of Jesus Christ.

How Awesome Is The Lord Most High

"Clap your hands, all you nations
shout to God with cries of joy.
How awesome is the Lord Most High,
the great king over all the earth!
He subdued nations under us,
peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us,
the pride of Jacob, whom He loved.

God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our king, sing praises.

For God is the king of all the earth;
sing to Him a psalm of praise.
God reigns over the nations;
God is seated on His holy throne."

Psalm 47: 1-8

How awesome is the Lord God Most High. No power in all creation, in all the universe, can match His awesome power. He created the whole universe and all creation. He holds the destinies of nations and peoples at the palm of His hands. Yet the God who oversees all of the vast universe consisting of billions of stars and galaxies know each and everyone of us personally. He guides our destinies as surely as He guides the path of each star in this vast panorama of galaxies. How awesome is our Lord God Most High. Remember His greatness as we sing songs of praise and worship to Him.

Jesus Heals A Paralytic

"A few days later, when Jesus again entered
Capernaum, the people heard that He had
come home.
So many gathered that there was no room left,
not even outside the door, and He preached the
word to them.
Some men came, bringing to Him a paralytic,
carried by four of them.

Since they could not get him to Jesus because
of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof
above Jesus and after digging through it, lowered
the mat the paralytic man was lying on.
When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic,
'Son, your sins are forgiven."

Now some teachers of the law were sitting there,
thinking to themselves, 'Why does this fellow talk
like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins
but God alone?'

Immediately Jesus knew in His Spirit that this was
what they were thinking in their hearts, and He said
to them, 'Why are thinking these things? Which is
easier: to say to the paralytic, "your sins are forgiven,"
or to say, "Get up, take your mat and walk?" But that
you may know that the Son of Man has authority on
earth to forgive sins...' He said to the paralytic, 'I tell
you, get up, take your mat and go home.'
He got up, took his mat and walk out in full view of
them all.
This amazed everyone and they praised God saying,
'We have never seen anything like this."

Mark 2: 1-12

Sometimes God uses sickness and illness to bring to the attention of the diseased person his state of living in sin. Sometimes, the callousness of the sinful heart of man deadens the still small voice of his conscience and God uses sickness to remind him to repent and be healed both in body and spirit. Total cleansing of our body, mind and soul through honest repentance and going back to the loving arms of God opens the body for the the pouring of the healing Spirit of God. Thus the sinful and diseased person is restored back to health both physically and spiritually.

Live By The Spirit And Not By The Flesh

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not
gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
For the sinful nature desires what is contrary
to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to
the sinful nature.
They are in conflict with each other, so that
you do not do what you want.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not
under law.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual
immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry
and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of
rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and
envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.
I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like
this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self control.
Against such things there is no law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the
sinful nature with its passions and desires.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the
Spirit."

Galatians 5: 16- 25

There are two natures ever in conflict inside us- the Spirit and the flesh. They war against each other. Where we focus our attention, that we will become. Since we are already children of God called to be holy like our heavenly Father, let us live by the Spirit and not by our sinful nature. Remember, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Let us honor God with our bodies, doing away with all evil desires and exhibiting the fruit of the Holy Spirit so that those who will see us will glorify our Father in heaven.
