Live In Harmony With One Another

"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another;
be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate
and humble.
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but
with blessing, because to this you were called so that
you may inherit a blessing.
For, 'Whoever would love life and see good days must
keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful
speech.
He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek
peace and pursue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His
ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the
Lord is against those who do evil."

1Peter 3: 8-12

These are some of the rules for holy living as we await the triumphant return of our Lord Jesus Christ- the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We are admonished to live in harmony with everyone, even with unbelievers whom we must attract to our way of thinking by the good examples they see in us. We must also be compassionate and humble and must love one another as brothers and sisters. We must never repay evil for evil and insult for insult. Let the Lord avenge us from those who malign us or do evil against us. We must also not resort to gossiping and slander but we must reserve our tongues to praising God and giving glory to His name. If we continue to do good and glorify God in our lives, we can be assured that the eyes of God are always fixed on us and He is attentive to our prayers. The Lord blesses those who delight in Him.

How Do Bloggers Earn?

How do bloggers earn?

Every wonder why a lot of blogs just keep on popping out these days? Well, that’s because bloggers can also earn a lot from simply blogging. There are many bloggers who are already earning thousands of dollars each month, giving them a really decent income. And they get that from just doing what they like, sharing their thoughts, and writing whatever they want.

There are many ways how bloggers could actually earn from their blogs. One of the most popular ways is to sell ad spaces on their site. I’m sure once you start blogging, you’ll have plenty of blank spaces there which you could sell. But how much you could earn depends on some factors. If you get a lot of visitors or if your website has gained a good reputation, you can expect a higher pay from advertisers. But you can’t do all this without having a blog in the first place.

Getting yourself your own blog or website is really easy. First sign up for an account with a web host. They are responsible for getting your site live online. Doteasy is a great web host and also provide domain name registration services. They offer free hosting in their basic hosting plan. With 100 MB of disk space, you also get web site builders for free. They have a great tech support that you could ask for help whenever you have some problems with your site. With your free hosting account, you can already create blog, forum, web polls, photo album and many more. You can play with the design even if this is just your first time in creating a website. Setting up a website with their free hosting plan is easy and free. All you have to do is simply sign up for a free hosting account with them HERE.

Praise To God For A Living Hope

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil
or fade- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are
shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation
that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while
you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
These have come so that your faith- of greater worth
than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-
may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory
and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."

1Peter 1: 3-7

God has given us a living hope in Christ so that we will not stumble because of the many obstacles and enticing traps in this decadent and perishing world. In the utter darkness of modern man 's existence, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead has given us a living hope of the same resurrection we will experience when Jesus Christ comes back to claim His glorious bride- His church. And though we suffer persecutions and calumnies in this world, that living hope is kept in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who strengthens us with power from on high. So we must not weaken and be discouraged when we feel we are swimming against the ocean of decadence and wanton living which the world is now experiencing. Our God is faithful to all His promises and we can hold on to these same promises to keep us above water and not sink in the quagmire of the world's sinfulness. In the end, we will receive the glorious crown of righteousness when the Lord is finally revealed at the end times.

Suffering For Doing Good

"Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.
'Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened.'
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who
ask you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clean
conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against
your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.
It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good
than for doing evil."

2Peter 3: 13-17

The Lord warned His followers before He was sentenced, died and went up to heaven . He warned His followers with these words, "in this world you will have trouble. But take heart for I have overcome the world " (John 6:33). Those who will follow Christ will suffer persecutions from unbelievers and even from self righteous believers. But we must have courage, for Christ's victory over all His adversaries, even His death on the cross, is also shared by all who believe in Him. Christ strength is our strength; His holiness and righteousness is our holiness and righteousness (they were imputed upon us when we accepted Him as our Lord and savior). In fact, He set no limit to what we can achieve by the power of His name. This is guaranteed in His promise that, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). If we suffer for doing good, we should not be discouraged for the Lord will vindicate us in the end. Remember Joseph in Genesis, he suffered all kinds of trials and was even jailed for doing what was righteous in his eyes and God vindicated him in the end. Remember, "All things work together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

The Lord Knows Us Inside Out

"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive
my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
You are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue You know it
completely, O Lord.
You hem me in- behind and before;
You have laid Your hand before me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You when I
was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths
of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in
Your book before one of them came to be."

Psalm 139: 1-6, 13-16

The Lord knows us inside out. He knows everything about us in a way that we ourselves will never know. He knows everything that we do from sunrise to sunset and even when we are asleep. He knows every thought that we have- good, bad, sublime and rubbish. He knows all our emotions and feelings, our doubts and fears, each function of our body. He knows the number of days that we will live on earth, for that has been ordained the moment we were born. He knows us and calls us by our name. There is nothing we can hide from Him. Even our darkest secret is as visible as the naked sun to Him. And He loves us so much as a heavenly Father does to His child. He guides us every step that we make and will never leave us nor forsake us. His love was such that He gave His only begotten Son to die in our place at Calvary. The punishment that should have been ours was thrown at Him and by His wounds we are all healed of all our spiritual and physical sicknesses.

Love Of Money

"But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into the world, and
we can take nothing out of it.
But if we have food and clothing, we will
be content with that.
People who want to get rich fall into
temptation and a trap and into many
foolish and harmful desires that plunge
men into ruin and destruction.
For the love of money is a root of all
kinds of evil.
Some people, eager for money, have
wandered from the faith and pierced
themselves with many griefs."

1Timothy 6: 6-10

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." The Bible does not say that money is a root of all evil but the love of money is. The Bible says that, "where your treasure is, there is your heart also." It further adds that, "you cannot love God and mammon (money) at the same time; either you choose one and reject the other." Money is not evil per se. God created money, that is why it is good. What is evil is the inordinate love for money that one will do all things in his power to get it by hook or by crook. Many politicians start out with noble intentions but when they are tempted with fabulous amount of money, they lose their principles and become entangled with amasing ill gotten wealth. Many clan wars have resulted in the death of many clan members because of quarrels with inherited properties. Many heirs end up in bitter judicial suits because they wanted to get the lion share of their inheritance. We can go on and on. But money donated to charities and used to alleviate the sufferings of the needy and dispossessed are money well spent and those who practice them are continuously blessed by the Lord. Let us honor God with our money.

The Great Day Of The Lord

"The great day of the Lord is near-
near and coming quickly.
Listen! The cry on the day of the Lord
will be bitter, the shouting of the warrior
there.
That day will be a day of wrath,
a day of distress and anguish,
a day of trouble and ruin,
a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and blackness,
a day of trumpet and battle cry
against the fortified cities
and against the corner towers.

I will bring distress on the people
and they will walk like blind men,
because they have sinned against
the Lord.
Their blood will be poured out like
dust and their entrails like filth.
Neither their silver or gold will be
able to save them on the day of
the Lord's wrath.
In the fire of His jealousy the whole
world will be consumed, for He will
make a sudden end of all who live
in the earth."

Zephaniah 1: 14-18

There are both historical and scatological (end times) interpretations of these verses. The historical one refers to the fall of Jerusalem, first from the Babylonians and lastly from the Romans, where people during those times were trapped inside the walls of Jerusalem under siege from the Babylonians. Life was so miserable then because of the scarcity of food that some Israelites resorted to cannibalism by eating their children just to survive the onslaught. In both the Babylonian and the Roman siege of the walls of Jerusalem and the eventual destruction of its magnificent temple, very few escaped the sword and death. On the scatological (end times) interpretation of these verses, people of the world have been shown examples of how the end times will come. These examples were the deluge during Noah's time, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the seven great plagues on Egypt and the fall of Jerusalem. The earth will be tried by fire where all the elements will melt and where there will be terrible signs in the sky. After the worldwide cataclysm, Jesus Christ will appear amidst the loud voice of the angel and the trumpet calls that shall emanate around the world. Those who have been dead shall rise first through the powerful command of the Lord, and the living and dead shall be judged. Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life shall be condemned to the Lake of Fire together with the devil and his minions. The righteous and those who called on the name of the Lord will rise with Him to His heavenly abode.
