Wonderfully Made

"For you created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's
I praise You because I am fearfully
and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful, I know
that full well.

My frame was not hidden from You
When I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the
depths of the earth,
Your eyes saw my unformed body.

All the days ordained for me were
written in your book, before one of
them came to be."

"Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting."

Psalm 139: 13-16 and 23-24

We are wonderful creatures because God formed us in His secret chamber. God ordained all the days of our lives because we are special to Him. Let us become the wonderful creations that He purposed us to be.

US society to blame for child abuse: Pope
18 Apr 2008, 0037 hrs IST,AGENCIES

WASHINGTON: Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday chided Americans for a moral breakdown he said had fueled the church’s child sex abuse scandal.

Pope Benedict, celebrating a stadium mass for 45,000 people, acknowledged that the United States pedophile priests scandal caused "indescribable pain and harm" to victims but asked Catholics to love their pastors.

"No words of mine can describe the pain and harm inflicted by such abuse," he said in the sermon of a mass at Nationals Park, a new stadium hosting its first non-baseball event.

In a speech delivered before the mass, the pontiff berated the bishops for their poor handling of a scandal surrounding sexual abuse of children in the church. But he urged efforts "to address the sin of abuse within the wider context of sexual mores" as well as a reassessment of "the values underpinning society".

"What does it mean to speak of child protection when pornography and violence can be viewed in so many homes through media widely available today?" the pontiff said.

"Children deserve to grow up with a healthy understanding of sexuality and its proper place in human relationships. They should be spared the degrading manifestations and the crude manipulation of sexuality so prevalent today."

Hi Jim,
Long time no hear my friend. Yes, I'm well aware of that. Roman Catholicism (with due apologies to my Catholic brothers and sisters) is a decadent religion still steeped in medieval beliefs and practices. And their doctrine of priestly celibacy has drove so many well meaning priests to so many illicit and evil sexual practices. The Bible never said that priests and pastors cannot marry. Even most of the apostles were all married. Paul, who remained unmarried throughout his life, said that those who want to marry should marry and those who decided to become celibate should do so. I don't know why the Catholic church is so fond of adding and removing from the Word of God contained in the Bible. Thanks for your visit and for the news excerpt. God bless.
