We can live in this world but not of this world. We are pilgrims here in a strange land of sin and wickedness and our true home is with our Father in heaven which our Lord Jesus Christ has prepared for us in advance.

I was watching TV this afternoon and they were showing the attractions of the world and these verses came to mind.

I will pray for you my sister. Just focus on God's love for you so that you will feel His warmth and protection. When Christ died on the cross, He has given us everything for our victorious Christian life. Just focus on His promises and not on your external situation right now. Later on, you will see that God's truths will prevail in your life and the lies of Satan will be exposed and vanquished. Trust God and He will give you the desires of your heart. I'd say that the lack of love for this one world and a paranoid stress placed upon an alleged other world beyond is exactly the reason why this planet is the mess it is. As long as believers - who are, unfortunately, still a majority of the world population - will keep on thinking of themselves as creatures passing through and destined to something better, then this planet shall never be the great place it could be.
