Practice Not Idolatry
Practice Not Idolatry
"And God spoke all these words:
I am the Lord your God, who brought
you out of Egypt, out of the land of
slavery.
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourself an idol in
the form of anything in heaven above or
on the earth below.
You shall not bow down to them or worship
them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous
God, punishing the children for the sin
of the fathers to the third and fourth generation
of those who hate Me, but showing love to
thousands who love me and keep my commandments.
You shall not misuse the name of the Lord
your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone
guiltless who misuses His name."
Exodus 20: 1-7
Is it any wonder why there are so much suffering and pains in the world? Innocent and young children suffer generational curses because of the abominable sins of their parents and grandparents. Bowing and kneeling down and praying to idols are all forms of worship. If we do this to anybody except to the one and only true God of the universe and the whole creation, we reap for ourselves and for our children and grandchildren up to the fourth generation, extreme curses and condemnation from heaven. "God is Spirit and His worshippers must worship in Spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)

Hello,

our God is a jealous God. He said it. We should always put him first, not our last resort.
Thank you for this post today. God Bless you..
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for the award but I give it to its rightful owner- our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the blessing for all of us. Thanks again for the wonderful award. God bless you and your family always.
Hi Brandy,
Happy Birthday again and may the Lord shower you with all His blessings from His great storehouse of blessings. Yes, I will be regularly visiting your wonderful blog. Thanks for coming over. God bless you and your family always.
Hi Pia,
Yes, I agree with you. He is a very jealous God. And it is very sad that man lifts up so many idols before Him. See what suffering the world has because of that? Thanks for your visit my friend. God bless you and your family always.
Hi Mississippi Songbird,
Thanks for your visit and also for your comments. I really appreciate them. God bless you and your family always.
I live in a land under the curse of idolatry. Pray that god may take away the blindness Satan has cast on people 's eyes.
Even we believers can be a prey to idoltry if we give prefence to other thing rather than God. The worship songs are so beautiful.
Hi Amrita,
Both our countries are under God's curse because of the sin of idolatry. What's worse is that some religion even have demons in their temples whom they try to placate or they worship animals which are created things and not the Creator. May God open the eyes of these people to worship the one and only true God. Thanks for your visit and your comments. God bless you and your family always.
"God is Spirit and His worshippers must worship in Spirit and in truth." very powerful comments from John 4.24..wonderful
Hi Raghu,
Yes God is Spirit and He expressly prohibited man to worship any graven image. That is one of the reason why there are so many sufferings in this world even by infants and children because they suffer for the abominable sins of their parents. Thanks for your visit. God bless you and your family always.
Yes, no idols, no saint, you can believe in the saints but not to pray them nor idolised them. For only God is the most powerful on this earth and no one else therefore we should not bow down to any other God and Goddess.
Great and very interesting post!
Thanks as always!
Hi Haze,
Now we know why countries that practice idolatry are punished by the Lord. Calamities are natural occurences in the Philippines, India, those in South America and the Buddhist countries in Asia. They definitely violate the second commandment and received the corresponding curses for these
violations. May we know the true words of God in the Bible so we can live according to His divine will and purpose. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your family always.
I love this song too..God is so wonderful...
Yes Stephanie. God is so wonderful. We all have to experience that in our lives.
