Those who persist in self seeking and pleasurable ways in this world, indulging in all kinds of sin and pleasures, will inherit wrath and judgment from the Lord. But for those who have been persistent in doing good and honoring God with their exemplary lives will inherit eternal life. This world is just a transient place before we go to our final destination- either eternal bliss with God in heaven or eternal damnation with the devil and other accursed in hell. Which destination would we choose?

This is why I think it is important to do confession quite regularly. If we do not confess our sins and receive absolution from them there is the possibility we end up in hell. A Christian is not necessarily 'saved' by believing in Jesus; he/she also has to live a life according to the Gospels.

Yes, your pastor was right. But all our acts of good works must be done in the name of Jesus so that the Father will accept it. All other deeds not done in the name of Jesus are not acceptable to the Father. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
