Our Heavenly Dwelling

"Now we know that if the earthly tent
we live in is destroyed, we have a
building from God, an eternal house in
heaven, not built by human hands.

Meanwhile we groan, longing to be
clothed with our heavenly dwelling,
because when we are clothed, we
will not be found naked.

For while we are in this tent, we
groan and are burdened, because
we do not wish to be unclothed
but to be clothed with our heavenly
dwelling, so that what is mortal may
be swallowed up by life.

Now it is God who has made us
for this very purpose and has
given us the Spirit as a deposit,
guaranteeing what is to come."

2 Corinthians 5: 1-5

While we are with our physical bodies, we groan from all the trials and burdens in life. We struggle to keep in step with our sole purpose in life- to please God and give glory to His name. So that when our earthly lives are over, we will be clad in our glorious heavenly bodies to be with the Lord forevermore in His heavenly abode.

Amen Kuya Mel! There is a better home waiting for us, yet I have to admit I get so overwhelmed with everything in this temporary world that I foget about the home I have waiting for me after this life... Thanks for reminding us...

Hi Kathy,
Yes, we must never forget the wonderful things Jesus prepared for us in His Father's mansion and not be misled by all the useless trinkets that this decadent world has been offering to us. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi my friend,
What a wonderful feeling to know that heaven awaits us. For we know that this world and suffering is only a temporary arrangement. God bless.
