Trust Only In God

"This is what the Lord says, 'Cursed is the one who
trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not
see prosperity when it comes.
He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in
a salt land where no one lives.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose
confidence is in Him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends
out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are
always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never
fails to bear fruit."

Jeremiah 17: 5-8

If we trust more on our own strength or on other men, then our efforts are doomed to failure because we did not place our trust in God. In so doing, we are rejecting God and are exalting ourselves or others. Our God is a jealous God. He will never tolerate those who reject Him and in the process, put their own selves or others in a pedestal. They will experience great failure and despair in the end. Not so with those who trust in the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted near the stream whose roots shoot out in the nearby water. They shall always bear fruit in season. They will always experience blessings and protection from the Lord. Whatever they do will surely prosper and succeed.

We saw the live Christmas story at the Chapel in Amherst New York today and it was wonderful. God is good and great and such a strength and all we have to do is ask and he's always there.

Blessings..

Kuya Mel, another inspiring post from you. Kaya I always start my blogwalking visiting your blogs para po atleast I hear about God's words muna before I proceed visiting other people's posts..

You are so right that we should trust in HIM at all times even when we feel like we are alone. He is always there and no matter what He will provide for us.. Sometimes we think that He's not there for us espscially in times of trials, but the very fact that we are able to wake-up every morning and experience another day, is a very big blessing already. The simple things that we overlook like the air that we breath and the safety we have everyday is a big gift. We just don't realize it when we are all blinded by the things of this world... And if we fall for it, we end up turning our backs on HIM thinking that He has forsaken us...

So everytime I am going through a lot of stuff, I look at the bright side of my life and count my blessings, and instead of complaining, I end up thanking God for still blessing me although I don't deserve it...

Thanks for your post kuya and God bless you always..

Hi Kathy,
What an inspiring comment you made. I'm sure you were inspired by the Holy Spirit in making it. What you said are all true. We should always trust God even though we do not actually feel His presence in our lives or when situations are daunting and troublesome. We know He will always deliver us from all our trials and we end up getting so much blessings that we do not actually deserve. Ganun Siya kabait at kabuti. Thanks for your visit and inspiring comments. God bless you all always.

Kuya Mel, With regrads to this post, It's really true that as long as we have God, we will always be blessed. We will always be saved from all kinds of troubles and we will be the first one to be saved when He comes.

To tell you the truth, my BIL did not even read the email I sent him about your post but I will send this to him as well... With perseverance, he will finally read my email and be able to see the light..

I will be back here tomorrow and thank you for your visits...

Hi Kathy,
You have to resort to prayer evangelism. Kung baga sa karne, pinalalambot muna ang tao at pag malambot na ay saka binibigyan ng message of the Gospel. God will be the one to do it and if you are the one He will use to bring the message of salvation to your BIL, then so be it. But God works in mysterious ways and we can never second guess His moves. I suggest you pray thoroughly for your BIL, them be sensitive to the prodding of the Holy Spirit. There is always a perfect time for the Lord. But your effort to bring the message of salvation to your BIL is never lost to the attention of the Lord and He will reward you for your efforts. Thanks for your visit again. God bless you all always.
