Doing Good To All

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he sows.
The one who sows to please his sinful nature,
from that nature will reap destruction;
the one who sows to please the Spirit, from
the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest
if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do
good to all people, especially to those who
belong to the family of believers."

Galatians 6: 7-10

We are not saved by righteous deeds alone but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. But after we have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit when we were born again, we must do our righteous acts in the name of Jesus to honor the Lord. We cannot go on doing evil deeds or sins and still expect the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Sin or any other unrighteous acts grieve the Holy Spirit and He convicts us immediately so that we can confess our sins and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Even if our good deeds remain unnoticed, we must persist in doing them for they give glory to the Lord and they become the most effective method of attracting unbelievers to our faith.

Very well-said kuya Mel! God gave us free-will but with that free-will comes responsibility. If we choose to do bad, we will reap bad things and if we choose to do good, we will be rewarded...

"We are not saved by righteous deeds alone but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ." I am highlighting this because my brother in law believes that as long as he does good things, he will be saved. We tried to convince him that he needs to believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour but to no avail. He don't even believe the bible because he said it was written by men and not by God. With this said, I would take advantage of your offer to help me pray for something kuya Mel. Please help me pray for him and his wife. It is our duty as christians to help other people believe in Him and it's a shame that we could not do that to my brother-in-law. It's so hard to convince people who are set in their ways...

Hay taas na ng comment ko but it's a relief to be able to share about it with you kasi I know that you wouldn't judge. Salamat kuya Mel and may God continue to bless you with good health so you could continue to help christians like me.

Hi Kathy,
Yes, I will definitely pray for him and his wife. Is your brother in law the brother of your husband or the husband of your sister? Prayer evangelism can have wondrous result if done with persistence and faith. When we pray for a person especially for his conversion, we release a spiritual force in heaven that can be used by angels to bring the message across to the intended beneficiary of our prayers. The Holy Spirit moves mightily in response to our fervent prayers for healing and conversion. Never lose hope, keep on praying for them and when you come across them, do not worry what you will say for the Holy Spirit will put the words into your mouth. There are so much miracles we can achieve through prayers. The most effective prayer is one addressed to the Father in the name of Jesus and through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Then our prayer becomes trinitarian in nature. Then we must thank God for the answer to our prayers always believing that God will always answer them. Thanks for your visit and inspiring comments. I will not only pray for your brother in law and his wife, I will also pray for you and all your loved ones. God bless you all.

Thank you for sharing this very inspiring post Sir Mel.

All I could think of right now is a man who reaps what I sow hehehe. I actually used this word to him. He practically withdraws what i earn in blogging money in paypal, so its like i am the one who sow, he is the one who reaps which n=is not right. I love this man but that part of him I hate.

Anyway, I know God has his own ways to have this sinful people pay for every sinful thing they have done to other and on earth in general, but honestly, sometimes I really do wish that this people would also learn from their mistakes and ceases from doing sins again. I actually done many good things to some of the people I know and they take advantage of my being nice. For example, my sisters friend, I let her stayed in my house for almost two years free food and lodging but didn't even bother to thank me for everything I had done.

I had to stop now before I get carried away. Thanks for the nice post Sir Mel.

Wahhhhhhhhh I feel so bad for you bakla, grabe naman yan si babger grrrrr.. But I know soon will give him the sign that what he is doing to you is not good.

Kaya siguro yung mga nanalalait na parents sakin noon sa place namin eh nagkaloko loko ang buhay ng mga anak kasi they really judged me that I won't achieved anything. I reaped what I sow and I am proud of it.. Sana people will realized that every thing we do to others has a counterpart on us. Sowi kuya, I have been sick for two days kaya lielow sa blogging, pilit lang yung updates ko sa blogs..

It is rightly said that one's destiny in one's own hands as one has to reap what one sows.

Hi Priya,
Yes, the Lord admonished us to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth and this we can do by doing our good deeds for the glory of the Lord. Thanks for your visit and comments my young friend. God bless you always.

Hi Shy,
Marami ka talagang nakatagong bitterness sa heart mo. Irelease mo lahat yan sa Panginoon or you will never experience genuine joy in your life. You may be nice and people may take advantage of that but we can always protect ourselves by saying no. That's the problem with sensitive people, they always avoid hurting other people but in the process, they got hurt and abused. Do not let the person withdrawing your blog money to do that. Wala ka na ngang trabaho at yun lang ang kita mo eh pakikialaman pa nang iba. Stand for your right my friend. Pray to God and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and when you feel you are in the right, speak your mind out. Kawawa ka naman pag tatanggapin mo na lang ang lahat dahil sa hindi mo pagkibo. Tatapaktapakan ka nang tao pag ganyan ang attitude mo. Be brave, be strong and trust the Lord and He will uphold your cause. Thanks sa visit mo at very personal comments. God bless you all always. I will pray for you my friend.

Hi Rose,
Let us all pray para kay Shy. Kawawa naman siya kung siya ay naaabuso. I know God will take care of her and defend her against all abuses against her. Let us not harbor any bitterness in our hearts and let us not rejoice in the suffering of others even if they had been bad to us before. Ang Diyos na ang bahala sa kanila. Sabi nga sa Bible, "judge not that you may not be judged" at saka, "with what measure you measure, so shall it be measured unto you." Magpahinga ka at magpagaling Rose. Matindi yung hectic schedule nyo sa paguwi sa West Virginia kaya siguro under the weather ka ngayon. Take good care of your family always, that is your ministry for the Lord. Thanks for your visit and very kind comments. God bless you all always.
