The Resurrection Body
"So will it be with the resurrection of the dead.
The body that is sown is perishable,
it is raised imperishable;
it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory;
it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
it is sown a natural body,
it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a
spiritual body.
So it is written: 'The first man Adam became
a living being;
the last Adam, a life giving spirit.
The spiritual did not come first, but the natural,
and after that the spiritual.
The first man was of the dust of the earth,
the second man from heaven.
As was the earthly man, so are those who are
of the earth;
and as is the man from heaven, so also are
those who are of heaven.
And just as we have borne the likeness of the
earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of
the man from heaven."
1Corinthians 15: 42- 49
We must not think too much of our physical body because it is earthly and will be reduced to dust after we die. Giving it the right amount of food and care should be sufficient enough. Let us not over indulge and pamper our bodies as though they will last forever. We must focus our attention on our spiritual body which will remain even after our death. We must do everything to conform to the pattern given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ- to live a holy and righteous life pleasing and approved by God. We take on the holiness and righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ imputed upon us when we were born again and became a light of the world and the salt of the earth for the glory of our God.

correct...but in today's world everything just happens the opposite.....
ultimately no one can teach anyone .these things..every one realizes only when they feel its wrong....
otherwise they keep arguing.
Hi Priya,
Just be more patient. People cannot see the truth because they are blinded by the lies perpetrated by the lord of this world- Satan. Salvation is by grace of God and is never by man's efforts. We just have to be attuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit to know when we can share the Gospel to others. I know you are undergoing persecutions but hold on to God's promises and He will lift you up. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you too for your visit nd comments. God bless you always.
Hi, thanks for this post. I find it hugely exciting to think that in the resurrection I will have a body and I'll be able to enjoy many of the things I enjoy on earth but without sin in my heart! I found this article very helpful: http://theologynetwork.org/christian-beliefs/creation-and-new-creation/starting-out/the-physical-future.htm
Hi Angus,
Yes, all Christians are waiting for that eventful day when the Lord will return for His own and we will all be transformed into glorified bodies. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
