Suffering For Being A Christian
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the
painful trial you are suffering, as though
something strange were happening to you.
But rejoice that you participate in the
sufferings of Christ, so that you may be
overjoyed when His glory is revealed.
If you are insulted because of the name
of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit
of glory and of God rest on you.
If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer
or thief or any other kind of criminal or
as a meddler.
However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not
be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that
name.
For it is time for judgment to begin with the
family of God; and if it begins with us, what will
the outcome be for those who do not obey the
Gospel of God?"
1 Peter 4: 12- 17
If we are suffering body pains, heartaches and sorrows due to painful trials, rejoice that we are sharing in the suffering of Christ. When His glory is finally revealed, we will share in that same glory for then, our mortal bodies shall be transformed to become like the glorified body of Christ. There shall no longer be any pain, and the Lord shall wipe away all tears from our eyes as we share in His glorious presence forevermore.

Thank you for the encouragemtn.
That song is great. We sing it in our meetings
Hi Amrita,
We must really encourage one another until the coming of our Lord so that we may not weaken. You will always remain a true comrade in Christ. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your loved ones always.
ne priest told us that we are afraid to take part in Christ's surfering, not because we don't believe or that the suffering is above us, but simply because we don't understand.
"Yes, you know that Christ suffered for your sake but you still want to understand why he did it for someone as low as you". "Who told you that you are low"? "You are children of God and specially made in His image". "Is God Low"?
Those were his words.
Hi AZ Blogging,
No, we should not be afraid of suffering for Christ, for with the suffering, He will give us sufficient grace to overcome our trials. The Bible says, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow Me." (Luke 9:23) Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless.
:) It is wonderful to be reminded of these promises from God. Sometimes I would get angry but no need to be angry because we are meant to be like this if we follow Jesus.
Hi Steven and Aisha,
Yes, we must be prepared to suffer for the Lord. But after the trials and testings are the crowns He will hand over to us for our faithfulness and patience. Thanks for the visit and comments. God bless you both.
