The Lord Is Our Good Shepherd

"Therefore Jesus said again, I tell you the truth
I am the gate for the sheep.
All who came before Me were thieves and robbers,
but the sheep did not listen to them.
I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved.
He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full.

I am the good shepherd.
The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

John 10: 7-11

We are the sheep. Jesus Christ is the good shepherd. He gives us not only
salvation and eternal life but abundant life as well. As long as we abide by our good shepherd, we shall never be wanting in our lives. Someday, there shall be but one flock and one shepherd.

Hi Amrita,
Not only is our Lord a good shepherd, He is also a good provider. By His divine providence, we are given all the things we need in life. We just have to learn to trust in His unfailing love. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your family always.

Mel, I wanted to drop by really quick to say hello. Tonight when I have more time I plan on studying your post. It's like devotional time when I drop by here! It's always so good to hear from you on my blog, a blessing to know I have Godly blog friends. I'll be back to study in a bit after I take my children to Karate. Until then, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
Just take your time and enjoy your moments with the kids. Bonding time must never be sacrificed for it is the only time that you make that magical moments with the kids. When they grow up, they will be on their own but if the bond between parents and kids is strong, they will always have time to relate and bond with their parents. Thanks for dropping by and feel free to drop by anytime you want. God bless you and your family always.

That's very good. I was monitoring you through your articles in your blog and I know that you are somewhat confused and very frustrated. Whatever you problems may be, just turn them over to the Lord and He will comfort you and give you joy and peace in your heart. Thanks for your visit. God bless you and your family always.

Hi I feel so guilty for I haven't been to the church for many months now. I should do it as a routine to worship the God Lord and let my children get used to it and learn that even just one day to give time to the God Jesus and thanks him with all the blessings.

Though I pray everyday but I know its not enough. I should seek the God's Kingdom before anything else. Yes, indeed the Lord is my Only Sheperd.

Have a great weekend Mel and to your family!

Hi Haze,
Your kids are so adorable. You should nurture them in the love and fear of the Lord so that they will grow up to be good Christians. It's not so much to spend one day a week for the Lord but the blessings and graces that you and your family will received will be tremendous. Do not wait until you are in a troubled situation before you visit the Lord. Bring your kids along with you as you attend your Sunday services. Thanks again for your visit. God bless you and your family always.
