THE BEATITUDES

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and
falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven,
for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were
before you."

Matthew 5: 1-12

The Lord will take care of us in all our needs. We need only to be humble before Him, walk in His ways and acknowledge Him before men. Though we experience temporary pains and sufferings in this world, yet the Lord shall rescue us and vindicate us from all the evils that men will do against us. With the Lord as our good shepherd, we will never be shaken.

Mel, this is wonderful as always. I will use the Beatitudes as my Before I lay me down sleep Bible reading. This scripture was special to me at the time my husband and I were married and this post has brought that to my remembrance. Blessings - Jennifer

Thank you so much for stopping by my page and praying for Erin! I recieved a comment about the little girl and the lady said that her parents were in her sisters sunday school class. She gave me a web site that you can go to and it updated every day. Erin does seem to be doing better, but she still has a long way to go, so we still need to keep her in our prayers! Here is the website and I will also post it on my blog! http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewHome.do Bless you!
Love,
Brandy

Hi sis Pia,
Thank you so much for your visit. I am still praying for you that you will overcome all your trials in life. Just say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13) His strength shall be your strength. God bless you and your loved ones always.
