This is a powerful prayer uttered by Paul originally to the church of Ephesus. This prayer summarizes the vast and limitless power of God that is open to all believers and serves as a formula to tap the vast powers of God in the entire universe that is centered in Jesus Christ. Being adopted sons of God and co-heirs with Jesus Christ in the kingdom of God, we have the same access to this unlimited power through faith in Jesus Christ.

We must not think too much of our physical body because it is earthly and will be reduced to dust after we die. Giving it the right amount of food and care should be sufficient enough. Let us not over indulge and pamper our bodies as though they will last forever. We must focus our attention on our spiritual body which will remain even after our death. We must do everything to conform to the pattern given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ- to live a holy and righteous life pleasing and approved by God. We take on the holiness and righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ imputed upon us when we were born again and became a light of the world and the salt of the earth for the glory of our God.
