Suffering For Being A Christian
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the
painful trial you are suffering, as though
something strange were happening to you.
But rejoice that you participate in the
sufferings of Christ, so that you may be
overjoyed when His glory is revealed.
If you are insulted because of the name
of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit
of glory and of God rest on you.
If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer
or thief or any other kind of criminal or
as a meddler.
However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not
be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that
name.
For it is time for judgment to begin with the
family of God; and if it begins with us, what will
the outcome be for those who do not obey the
Gospel of God?"
1 Peter 4: 12- 17
If we are suffering body pains, heartaches and sorrows due to painful trials, rejoice that we are sharing in the suffering of Christ. When His glory is finally revealed, we will share in that same glory for then, our mortal bodies shall be transformed to become like the glorified body of Christ. There shall no longer be any pain, and the Lord shall wipe away all tears from our eyes as we share in His glorious presence forevermore.

Hi Mel,
I believe the Church is entering one of the worst periods of persecutions in its history. Just look at the number of atrocities over Christmas in different parts of the world. Even in the West Christianity is being marginalized because the West is now largely godless. I believe we as Christians have to endure a similar passion like Christ, but Jesus said the forces of hell will not prevail. We may even be approaching His Second Coming. According to the Book of Revelation the Church will enjoy a long period of peace after that. The trials will be worth it in the end for those who endure.
Best wishes,
JI.

Hi Imriz,
Oh I never mind long comments. In fact I welcome it because that means the reader is interested in my post. Your observation is so right. God will complete our lives no matter how incomplete they may be. Yes, I remember seeing a lot of onions and cabbages in your province. I am impressed with the city of Cabanatuan. I hope it is peaceful now unlike before during the time of the Josons and Perez when it was like a war zone area. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
