The Wise And Foolish Builders

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine
and put them into practice is like a wise man who
built his house on the rock.
The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds
blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall,
because it had its foundation on the rock.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does
not put them into practice is like a foolish man who
built his house on sand.
The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds
blew and beat against the house, and it fell with a great
crash."

Matthew 7: 24-27

We must always be guided by the the word of God in our lives. But we must not be readers only of God's words, we must be doers as well. Hearing them and not practicing the word of God in our lives is like building a house in the sand. When the strong winds and storms of life come, the house built on sand will come crashing down. Doing what the word of God says is like building our spiritual muscles. When trials and temptations come we are strong enough to overcome them by the grace of God. We cannot successfully claim the great promises of God as contained in His words if we are not doing His will in our lives. We must practice what we read in the Bible and that would be like building our spiritual house upon a rock. The strong winds and storms will come and go but our house built on the rock shall always stand the test of time.

Making One's Calling And Election Sure

"His divine power has given us everything we need
for life and godliness through the knowledge of
Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.
Through these He has given us His very great and
precious promises, so that through them you may
participate in the divine nature and escape the
corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to
your faith goodness, and to goodness, knowledge,
and to knowledge, self control, and to self control,
perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and
to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly
kindness, love.

For if you possess these qualities in increasing
measure, they will keep you from being ineffective
and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted
and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed
from his past sins."

2Peter 1: 3-9

Many who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior and have been born again have forgotten who they have become. We must always remember that we are already a new creation in Christ. Our past lives and sinful living have been crucified with Christ on the cross along with its passions and evil desires. But since we are still living in this sinful transitory world, we must strive hard to follow the ways of the Lord by shunning evil and sinful living by claiming the divine promises of the Lord in the Bible. They have the power and strength to neutralize all the cunning traps set by the enemy for the children of God. We must strive hard to develop faith, goodness, knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love. These traits, together with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, will assure our victory over the enemy until the day of the Lord's return.

Admonitions To Christians For Righteous Living

"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty
hand, that He may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
Be self controlled and alert.
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion
looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know
that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing
the same kind of sufferings."

1Peter 5: 5b- 10

The world as it is, is so evil right now, and darkness has covered the earth. The triumphant laughter of the enemy is heard all over the world. Men have immersed themselves in deceptions. They reject all kinds of heavenly authority and any form of afterlife, reward and punishment. That is why Peter admonished us to be humble so that God can lift us up from the depths of our sufferings. The people of God are persecuted around the world. But we must stand fast and claim God's promises to strengthen and protect us against all the wiles of the enemy. We may be undergoing trials right now but all our Christian brothers and sisters in Christ around the world are also experiencing sufferings and trials of their own. God is strengthening all of us so that we can resist the final attempt of the enemy to triumph over us. But we will prevail and our King will vanquish the enemy and throw him and his minions to the lake of fire together with all those they deceived. But we will be fetched by the Lord so that we can receive the crown of glory from our mighty King in His blissful abode to live with Him forevermore.

Live In Harmony With One Another

"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another;
be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate
and humble.
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but
with blessing, because to this you were called so that
you may inherit a blessing.
For, 'Whoever would love life and see good days must
keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful
speech.
He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek
peace and pursue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His
ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the
Lord is against those who do evil."

1Peter 3: 8-12

These are some of the rules for holy living as we await the triumphant return of our Lord Jesus Christ- the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We are admonished to live in harmony with everyone, even with unbelievers whom we must attract to our way of thinking by the good examples they see in us. We must also be compassionate and humble and must love one another as brothers and sisters. We must never repay evil for evil and insult for insult. Let the Lord avenge us from those who malign us or do evil against us. We must also not resort to gossiping and slander but we must reserve our tongues to praising God and giving glory to His name. If we continue to do good and glorify God in our lives, we can be assured that the eyes of God are always fixed on us and He is attentive to our prayers. The Lord blesses those who delight in Him.

How Do Bloggers Earn?

How do bloggers earn?

Every wonder why a lot of blogs just keep on popping out these days? Well, that’s because bloggers can also earn a lot from simply blogging. There are many bloggers who are already earning thousands of dollars each month, giving them a really decent income. And they get that from just doing what they like, sharing their thoughts, and writing whatever they want.

There are many ways how bloggers could actually earn from their blogs. One of the most popular ways is to sell ad spaces on their site. I’m sure once you start blogging, you’ll have plenty of blank spaces there which you could sell. But how much you could earn depends on some factors. If you get a lot of visitors or if your website has gained a good reputation, you can expect a higher pay from advertisers. But you can’t do all this without having a blog in the first place.

Getting yourself your own blog or website is really easy. First sign up for an account with a web host. They are responsible for getting your site live online. Doteasy is a great web host and also provide domain name registration services. They offer free hosting in their basic hosting plan. With 100 MB of disk space, you also get web site builders for free. They have a great tech support that you could ask for help whenever you have some problems with your site. With your free hosting account, you can already create blog, forum, web polls, photo album and many more. You can play with the design even if this is just your first time in creating a website. Setting up a website with their free hosting plan is easy and free. All you have to do is simply sign up for a free hosting account with them HERE.

Praise To God For A Living Hope

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil
or fade- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are
shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation
that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while
you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
These have come so that your faith- of greater worth
than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-
may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory
and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."

1Peter 1: 3-7

God has given us a living hope in Christ so that we will not stumble because of the many obstacles and enticing traps in this decadent and perishing world. In the utter darkness of modern man 's existence, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead has given us a living hope of the same resurrection we will experience when Jesus Christ comes back to claim His glorious bride- His church. And though we suffer persecutions and calumnies in this world, that living hope is kept in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who strengthens us with power from on high. So we must not weaken and be discouraged when we feel we are swimming against the ocean of decadence and wanton living which the world is now experiencing. Our God is faithful to all His promises and we can hold on to these same promises to keep us above water and not sink in the quagmire of the world's sinfulness. In the end, we will receive the glorious crown of righteousness when the Lord is finally revealed at the end times.

Suffering For Doing Good

"Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.
'Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened.'
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who
ask you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clean
conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against
your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.
It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good
than for doing evil."

2Peter 3: 13-17

The Lord warned His followers before He was sentenced, died and went up to heaven . He warned His followers with these words, "in this world you will have trouble. But take heart for I have overcome the world " (John 6:33). Those who will follow Christ will suffer persecutions from unbelievers and even from self righteous believers. But we must have courage, for Christ's victory over all His adversaries, even His death on the cross, is also shared by all who believe in Him. Christ strength is our strength; His holiness and righteousness is our holiness and righteousness (they were imputed upon us when we accepted Him as our Lord and savior). In fact, He set no limit to what we can achieve by the power of His name. This is guaranteed in His promise that, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). If we suffer for doing good, we should not be discouraged for the Lord will vindicate us in the end. Remember Joseph in Genesis, he suffered all kinds of trials and was even jailed for doing what was righteous in his eyes and God vindicated him in the end. Remember, "All things work together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).
