Living Sacrifices

"Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God's
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,
holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual
act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing
and perfect will.

For by the grace given me I say to every one
of you: Do not think of yourself more highly
than you ought, but rather think of yourself
with sober judgment, in accordance with the
measure of faith God has given you."

Romans 12: 1-3

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We must keep it clean, holy and without the stain of sin. To be more Christlike, we must renew our minds and check every thought that comes to us with the standard of Jesus Christ. Then, the Holy Spirit will begin the process of transforming us from glory to glory until we reach the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ. Then God will be glorified in every thing that we do, say and think and we will shine like the stars in the firmament of heaven.

very true that we should not get into the worldly ways but is it possible until we get the enlightenment from the holy spirit.
once the holy spirit has enlightened us then we never feel the need to get into such worldly things we wud just be in the love of God.

SAVED BY GRACE
In 1994, due to my feeling depressed and suicidal...I saw a counselor.

I had spent all my childhood in orphanages in England & Australia.

He helped me process my feelings...he had processed his own history. I did years of group therapy (INNER CHILD) & EMDR.

All I knew from my childhood was FEAR, PAIN, SHAME & GUILT...I was able to process these feelings and get support from other people in my therapy group.

Four years ago, I dropped into a "black hole" and had to be hospitalized.... I had 4 months of ABSOLUTE TERROR: I thought I was in HELL.

One day I asked JESUS CHRIST to have mercy on me and forgive me my sins. Slowly all my fear and guilt has dissipated and today...I'm happy joyous & free.

What I had learned from my process in Hospital.... was what it was like for me as a child.

JESUS CHRIST DELIVERED ME!!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3: 16]

I, PATRICK, AM THE HOLY ONE OF GOD.

Hi Priya Joyce,
This is a strong admonition from Paul that we should not use our bodies as an instruments of sin but as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. Corruption of one's soul starts from the corruption of our bodies. When we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and have surrendered our lives to Him, our bodies became the temple of the Holy Spirit, so we must keep it clean and holy. Thanks for your visit and inspired comments. God bless you always my young friend.

Hi Patrick,
You have quite a stirring testimonial that could touch so many souls. Praise the Lord that you found Jesus just in time to save your soul. Thanks for your visit and for your exceptional testimony. God bless you always.

Hi..
I once asked my peers where they would go whenever they would die..One answered me that she is sort of confused whether there is a real heaven and hell.. so I told her there is..till eternity..but still she remained frustrated..I just dunno wat to do..and currently, I'm encountering problems with my friends..it's hard to be Christlike but we must be one, right?..and that's what I'm doing now..but still..I wonder why some act somewhat harsh on me.. "We must please God and not men..." that is what I learned..and will always put in my heart and in my mind..I am a sower, we all are, and we must plant God's word in a healthy soil and not on a rocky, muddy and thorn-full ones..
God Bless Kuya Mel..

Hi Lolli-pii,
Don't say anything yet to your friends because their hearts are not yet ready for the word of God. Just be a good Christian example to them and your good deeds done in the name of Christ will lead them to your faith. You must be sensitive to the prodding of the Holy Spirit to know when to speak and what to say. We are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We must do our good deeds for everybody to see so that they will praise and glorify our God. Just use prayer evangelism to reach out to them. You may be just annoying your friends with your rhetorical questions. Instead of asking them rhetorical questions, you can just witness to them what great things the lord has done to your life. Use the before and after scenarios to prove your point. Wait until they themselves ask you or when they want counseling from you. Suffice that they know you are a Christian and will never compromise your Christian ideals for anything else in this world. Thanks for your visit and inspired comments. God bless you always my young friend.
